PAC recently launched a next generation software suite for GC SimDis Analysers that truly refocuses all operator efforts on workflow. PAC SIMDIS XLNC™ Software interfaces universally to all major Chromatography Data Systems in the market to produce accurate results; fast and in the format required. Its features include a vast array of smart drag-and-drop operations, zoom functions, filters and onscreen-links to allow relevant information production through a bare minimum of mouse clicks, saving operator-time without any compromise to output or quality.

SIMDIS XLNC™ can be set up in ºC or F, all Y-axis scaling can be predefined per sample type/product, and graph axes can be toggled from temperature to retention time. This completely new approach provides a much better insight for process chemists not familiar with chromatograpy. Options for customisable cutpoints, carbon # markers, IBP/FBP markers, Elution Start/End, Oven end ramp markers, overlays of sample with calibration, blank and %^OFF further enhance evaluating and interpreting data.

PAC SIMDIS Software is extremely intuitive, simple to learn, use and teach to others, so it does not require a highly-trained operator. For labs requiring different levels of authorisation, user profiles can be created and customised to meet these needs. Language localisation is part of the user profile and SIMDIS XLNC™ can be set up in Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese or Korean to accommodate non-English users.

Flexible editable templates and product defintions allow for calculus and reporting data from the same standardised analytical method differently, depending on the needs for that particular sample. For example, we can now differentiate between different Jet Fuel types, all run with the same method, so they can each have their own predefined report, depending on the needs for that particular product. While this can be set up to be automatic, user has the full flexibility to override and select a different report.

Data audit trail keeps track of all key user-actions on samples and connected blank and calibration files for data traceability. File info tabs lists these repective connections as a direct link that can be opened. This avoids browsing large sets of data files, f.i. to find the right blank

SIMDIS XLNC allows creation of customised QC Samples, and includes full QC-charting fuctions to ensure it meets various lab quality ensurance program demands

A visual evaluating screen for reference samples shows degrees ºC off from expected value vs % Mass, allowing for split second pass/fail evaluation of QC samples, without looking at the detailed numbers.

Relevant methods are supported, including D2887, D7213, D7500, D7169 (with or w/o DHA Merge), IP480, EN ISO 3924, IP406, ASTM D5307, ASTM D6352, EN 15199-1/2/3, DIN 51.435, IP 507, IP 545 and an array of specific correlations & calculations:

  • Recovery, Cut Points
  • Distillation correlation to  D86, D1160
  • Calculated Flashpoint acc. D7215
  • NOACK acc. DIN 51581-2
  • Motor Oil Volatility acc. ASTM D 6417
  • BMCI, Mining Index
  • VABP
  • Crude Volume % conversion.

Calculations for Sulphur and Nitrogen are also included; a three channel CNS analyser provides detailed speciated Boiling Point information. The PAC std CNS solution is a 30 minute analysis providing full BP results for Crude or other specific fuels.

SIMDIS XLNC™ is an extremely versatile package that offers the right toolkit for Simulated Distillation without being overcomplicated. Its easy to learn and use, and will provide the right answers we need in todays lab with a minimum of work.
