Blackline Safety secures largest contract in company’s history
Jun 05 2024
Blackline Safety Corp. has just secured the largest contract in their history: an $8.5 million deal with a major North American midstream organisation.
The contract is an extension of the company’s initial $3.5 million deal with Blackline, that was signed off in September last year, to protect over 850 workers. This latest deal means that Blackline devices will now protect all of the company’s near-to 2,000 field and site personnel.
The latest contract consists of the supply of 1,025 G7 wearable gas-detection and lone worker devices and associated monitoring services. Blackline’s client also purchased 753 G7 Bridges so workers are connected in remote locations via satellite.
The midstream company had carried out a comprehensive review of all available gas detection and lone worker devices, before opting for Blackline’s. The customer was particularly impressed with the G7’s ability to inform them immediately when and where someone needs help, even in confined spaces or in remote places with no cellular signal. This was a key factor in their decision to standardise the use of Blackline products throughout the entire organisation.
The highly acclaimed, wearable G7 features an SOS latch, fall/no motion detection, and real-time connectivity, providing a crucial lifeline in cases of emergency. When Blackline’s G7x devices with G7 Bridge are paired, users are provided with satellite connectivity in remote locations with poor cellular connectivity, even the most remote workers can rest-assured that they are being watched over in real time.
This latest prestigious contract is the largest in Blackline’s history, overtaking the $7.8 million utility industry agreement penned in late 2021, and further highlights their global market acceptance across a variety of industrial and municipal sectors.
