Direct Analysis of Mercury in Naphtha, Gas and Other Petrochemical Products
Sep 29 2015
The revolutionary mercury analyser PE-1000 from Nippon Instruments Corporation, (represented by a1-envirosciences GmbH at PEFTEC on Stand 70) makes it possible to carry out an extremely rapid and accurate analysis of total mercury without further sample preparation in accordance with the UOP938-10 method.
Reproducible measurements at 0.01 ppb level can be achieved by: The combination of automatic sample injection with an autosampler in a vertical adsorption-combustion system, double concentration and adsorption trap on gold catalysts and, detection with a very stable atomic fluorescence (AFS) detector.
By using 2 ml vials sealed with septa, any loss of volatile mercury compounds is excluded and 110 samples are automatically and routinely measured.
Gas and LPG samples can be analysed as well. It should also be mentioned that the analyser has a low consumption of gas.
The PE-1000 is within the international petrochemical laboratories recognised as the reference system and perfectly suited for the measurement of mercury in naphtha, gas condensates, APHV LNGs, kerosene, light and heavy oil products.
