Flash Point

The safe way of flash point testing with measurements between -25°C to 420°C with a single analyser

The leading edge ERAFLASH flash point tester, from eralytics measures in full compliance with the inherently safe CCCFP  (Continuously Closed Cup Flash Point) Methods ASTM D6450 and D7094 and Europe’s comparable IP620. The closed chamber completely circumvents the risk of fire in the lab during the entire measurement process. ASTM D7094 shows an excellent correlation to ASTM D93 (Pensky Martens) and even outperforms it in terms of precision.

eralytics’ flash point testers have attained approval by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), US Navy and NATO to further meet the strict regulations of European and US authorities.

Depending on the industry, you can easily measure a high number of different sample types from fuels, lube oils, paints, varnishes, solvents and many more. The very low sample volume (1-2 mL) makes ERAFLASH suitable for standard applications and also for special applications such as the measurement of valuable or hazardous samples.

Another unique feature is the patented PBT – Peltier Boost TechnologyTM for maximum speed and range. With only one single analyser this innovative technology supports an unprecedented temperature range of -25 to 420 °C (-13 to 788 °F) and allows significantly shorter turnaround times than all other flash point testers on the market. All this makes ERAFLASH a highly cost-efficient tool for large used oil testing facilities all the way to the food, flavour and fragrance industry.

The fully heat-insulated sample cup allows for safe sample cup removal a few moments after the measurement; even if the flash points are above 200°C. In combination with the PBT design, this helps to further reduce the turnaround time making flash point testing safer and more economical than ever before.

With the intuitive software and the industry-proven multilingual colour touchscreen, operating the analyser is a simple task. The full aluminum housing and the rugged design of ERAFLASH make it the ideal choice for stationary as well as mobile laboratories.

Depending on your measuring task, there are various types of flash point testers available. From performing simple measuring routines sample after sample (ERAFLASH) to measure large numbers of samples with the 10-position autosampler ensuring high-throughput measurements (ERAFLASH S10) as well as a model for low-temperature flash point testing with accelerated cooling down to -40 °C (ERAFLASH LT).

With the 10-position autosampler, ERAFLASH S10 eralytics provides the perfect solution for unattended flash point testing for high-throughput laboratories and offers even more operator comfort. The unique innovation for special applications is the optional cooling lid. The cooling lid keeps the pending sample cups in a pre-cooled state before the actual measurements. This results in shorter turnaround times and completely avoids the loss of volatile compounds.
