Flash Point
Only a Low Sample Volume Required: Perfect for QC
Aug 21 2024
Conduct measurements with down to 5 ml sample volume.
Flash point testing is a crucial parameter when it comes to safety, product specification, QC, and transport regulation.
However, frequently-used flash point methods, such as Abel or Pensky-Martens, require approximately 70 ml of sample. For expensive samples or samples that are not available in this quantity, this can be an issue. Also, in situations where a small amount of sample is preferred due to safety reasons, the mini cup for our ABA 500 and ABA 300 is a great option. With our new mini cup for our next generation Abel flash point testers, ABA 500 and ABA 300, you can conduct flash point testing with just 5 ml sample volume with excellent correlation to ISO 13736. It’s the perfect choice for QC and internal testing of flash point parameters for a wide range of samples, such as fuels, petro chemicals, and e.g. flavors and fragrances.
Small-volume sample cups are also available for our next generation Pensky-Martens flash point testers PMA 500 and PMA 300.
