On-Line Sulphur Analysis
Apr 23 2014
Monitoring sulphur levels at the refinery in the hydrotreating, hydrofiner and blending processes is critical for regulatory compliance. It is also critical at pipeline terminals to monitor interface cuts and tank contamination prevention.
The XOS (USA) Sindie Benchtop Analyser has earned a global reputation as a leading trusted brand in precise sulphur analysis. The proven reliability and precision of the XOS Sindie benchtop is available in an on-line analyser. The Sindie On-Line Analyser is a high performance system built on the XOS-patented monochromatic wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (MWDXRF) technology that employs state-of-the-art doubly curved crystal optics.
The enhanced precision of the Sindie On-Line system allows for automation of the process where even a 1-2 ppm shift can impact the bottom line. MWDXRF technology detects such minimal shifts and provides a direct measurement that is not dependent on density or any other factor that can cause imprecision. The Sindie On-Line Analyser uses a cutting edge dynamic window module (DWM) to continuously monitor sample as it would flow through the process. This allows for quick, low maintenance analysis of many different types of petroleum products from crude oil to gasoline. There are no costly maintenance items, such as high temperature combustion furnaces and no consumable gasses needed for measurement. The Sindie On-Line can perform in the toughest of environments around the world. Additional features include: Direct measurement without sample conversion;
Analysis in ppm (wt); Dynamic Range: 0.6 to 3000 ppm; Outstanding linearity: One calibration for diesel and gasoline matrixes over full dynamic range and fast measurement time: 30 seconds to 5 minutes, user programmable.
