Sulphur analysis
Small and Powerful Elemental Analysis
Oct 15 2013
Elemental analysis of lubricating oils and sulphur in fuels benefit from the specialist detector technology and optics included in Epsilon 1’s dedicated application design from PANalytical (Netherlands). The factory pre-calibrated sulphur in fuels and lubricating oils solutions consist of an Epsilon 1 spectrometer, a validation sample and a starting kit for preparing the first 100 liquid cups for analysis.
More reliable results can be achieved because the thin- window Ag anode X-ray tube ensures high quality and sensitivity for the accurate quantification of P, S and Cl without interference of possible line overlaps in the XRF spectrum. The 50 kV X-ray tube and generator are ideal for exciting heavier elements like zinc, resulting in faster analysis times. In order to protect the optical path from accidental spillage, an easy to replace protection foil is in place. Built-in temperature and air-pressure sensors compensate for atmospheric variations, ensuring unaffected results for light elements like phosphorus and sulphur.
