Tier 3 : Total Sulfur Analysis with Powerful Performance
May 04 2016
The lower sulphur level requirement in gasoline as defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) called the Tier 3 programme has driven the need within the petroleum industry for produce ultra-low sulphur fuels. This Tier 3 rule with the scheduled implementation by January 2017 set the level of total sulphur in gasoline fuels down to 10 ppm and requires a precise and reliable Total Sulphur analyser. Within Tier 3, the ASTM D5453 method is defined as a method of choice and provides users capabilities to reach trace level sulphur limits. The TSHR (the Netherlands) range of Combustion Elemental Analyzers, 6000 and 7000 series, will be able to analyse these automotive fuels in compliance with ASTM D5453 method in a routine environment, and provide reliable and precise total sulphur data within just a few minutes.
