Blackline Safety has secured a $1.9 million deal with a major South African energy company.
The new deal is Blackline’s first significant contract in Africa. The energy company ordered in the region of 500 G7c safety monitor devices for their plant personnel and nearly 500 G6 devices to protect their contractors when they are working on site. The energy company also purchased G7 and G6 Docks, Blackline’s highly user-friendly solution to calibrating, bump testing and charging their wearable monitoring devices.
Blackline’s customer standardised on these highly advanced and reliable devices across their entire organisation. Industrial and municipal organisations are increasingly relying on the Blackline platform to enhance safety cost-effectively across their operations, thereby displacing a wide range of conventional, legacy products.
According to Peter Attalla, Blackline Safety’s V-P of International Sales. “By the end of our first demo, the company realised that by choosing Blackline, they will get industry-leading connected safety technology across their operation while greatly simplifying their service providers and device management.”
The wearable G7 provides several key features including multi-gas detection, an SOS latch, fall and no motion detection, two-way voice, and real-time connectivity to offer their clientele a vital lifeline in the event of an emergency. Blackline’s wearable G6 single gas detector offers real-time connectivity and an emergency SOS button. Both award-winning instruments enable organisations to make quick and informed decisions and therefore react promptly and efficiently during safety-related incidents, thereby protecting personnel, assets and the local environment.
