    Sulphur Testing On-the-go

XOS (USA) have announced the introduction of their portable sulphur analyser that provides reliable quality results - from ultra low sulphur diesel and gasoline, to marine fuels and crudes.

The Sindie 7039 OTG analyser is the ultimate dual use portable and bench-top sulphur analyser and uses the widely trusted Monochromatic WD XRF technique per ASTM D7039. MWD XRF is a direct measurement technique and does not require sample conversion, consumable gases or elevated temperature operating conditions. The analyser measures sulphur concentrations from1.0 ppm up to 10 wt% and is designed for use in refinery laboratories, for process trouble shooting, in pipeline terminal applications as well as for marine on-board use and mobile test vans.

Sindie OTG uses preassembled Accu-Cell sample cups, designed to keep the sample and the cup free of external contamination and particles. Accu-Cell cups eliminate the need for the user to put together the various separate film and cup components. The cups are pre-vented so there is no need for the user to create a pressure release hole in the cup. One standard 2ml pipette will fill the cup and that’s it. Fast, clean and precise.
