With the ability to use a closed loop carrier gas, the extracted water can be transferred to the coulometric measuring cell allowing for a clean titration avoiding any potential side reactions which could occur in standard direct injection titrations.

Uniquely, the instrument has a balance built into the coulometer. No more manual weighing on the syringe before and after injection. Simply load the syringe, add to the tray and the weight will be taken directly by the instrument.

By adopting a syringe injection analysis coupled with a heating extraction technique, the accuracy of the coulometry is also increased as shown in the ASTM 6304 studies for procedure C.
