Innovative Modular Design Improves Productivity and Flexibility for Cold Properties Testing

ORBIS BV have introduced a unique modular concept for Cold Filter Plugging Point, Cloud Point and Pour Point Testing.

Bram Hollander, International Sales Manager at Orbis BV, says “the AirSTAR range of CFPP and CPPP instruments were designed with flexibility and lab efficiency in mind”.

Both the AirSTAR CFPP and CPPP instruments use Orbis’ “ColdBlock” cooling unit (-105 °C/-157 °F). The ColdBlock unit has been designed to automatically interact and operate with up to eight AirSTAR CFPP or CPPP instruments, which means users have the flexibility to switch AirSTAR testing Heads between different cooling units. Bram continues, “Each laboratory has its own test demands, the modular design offers lab workers flexibility and increased productivity. For example, while one CFPP Head is automatically cleaned in the docking station another AirSTAR Instrument Head can use the ColdBlock cooling unit and start running the next CFPP/CP/PP test. The modularity of the AirSTAR design saves time and space.”

The AirSTAR instruments are easy to use, maintenance friendly and comply with traditional industry test methods. The AirSTAR range has been designed to improve efficiency for those using the following cold property test methods; (CFPP) ASTM D6371, EN116, EN16329, IP309, (CP) ASTM D2500, ASTM D5771, IP219, IP444, ISO3015, JISK2269, (PP) ASTM D97, D6892, D5853, IP15, ISO 3016 and JISK2269.
