Universal software for reporting DHA, SimDist and Gas analyses
Dec 11 2013
Do you use various software packages of different suppliers to report DHA, SimDist or Gas analysis data in your laboratory? Of course these packages are dedicated to a specific sample type or application, but you still need multiple packages. The PetroReporter is developed by Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions (DVLS) to offer laboratories one universal software package for processing and reporting all petroleum samples, either for a DHA, SimDist or Gas application.
The DVLS PetroReporter is currently used by analysts located in Europe, Asia and Australia as a reporting tool that delivers:
- A compatibility with multiple data platforms such as EZChrom, OpenLab EZChrom, ChemStation, OpenLab ChemStation, Chromeleon and TotalChrom;
- A stand-alone or a client/server configuration that allows you to control the software remotely from any PC in the laboratory;
- A wide range of report options to register the individual components, physical properties or values;
- Predefined settings per sample type, databases and formulas to optimize the identification of the petroleum samples; and
- User-friendly editors to customise the settings on-screen, just drag and drop the peaks in the on-screen chromatogram to adjust the identification.
Configure a DHA and SimDist application with dedicated kits
Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions offers several kits dedicated to a DHA and/or SimDist test method that includes the required GC column, calibration & validation samples and the PetroReporter software. You can configure your gas chromatograph with one of the dedicated kits:
- SimDist Kits that comply with an ASTM, DIN, EN or ISO method for simulated distillation; and
- DHA Kits that comply with ASTM D5134, D6729, D6730 or D6733 for detailed hydrocarbon analysis.
Prepare your Gas Standards on-site
To set up your gas analyser you need calibration gases. The DVLS GasMix powered by AlyTech allows you to prepare customised gas standards for single and multipoint calibration on-site. The GasMix complies with ISO 6145-7 to mix, dilute and inject two up to (optional) twelve gas standards into your GC system. Examples demonstrate that the GasMix is a cost-effective solution with a Return on Investment payback time of one year thanks to a reduced gas consumption.
For more information on the DVLS PetroReporter, the Dedicated SimDist & DHA Kits or the GasMix download the application notes at the Petrochemical section of Da Vinci website or contact Da Vinci to request for an on-line demonstration.
