Breathe a Little Easier with Compressed Air Monitors
Jun 19 2014
Analox (UK) aims to keep all workers that require working breathing air operational throughout their duration onsite. How? You ask. Analox have launched their new ACG+ breathing air monitor - this unit has seen unprecedented success prior to launch with over a £100K worth of orders already secured, with a 5% growth in staff Analox are fully prepared for the demand for the unit - particularly from the offshore market where compressed breathing air use is commonplace.
The ACG+ is a unique compressed breathing air monitor designed to be used in a fixed installation near your air compressor or as an ideal portable solution for multi-point air monitoring. The ACG+ offers the users peace of mind as it continually monitors Oxygen (O2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Dew point (H2O) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and has a sample port to check for oil mist in line with standards such as EN12021.
Housed in a robust case when used portably or in a purpose built housing when used in a fixed position, the ACG+ is simple to install, use and maintain and has a low cost of ownership. Offering its users a 90 day period of datalogging which is easily retrieved with a USB connection, the ACG+ also comes with audio/visual alarms and a common relay to connect to a beacon or to shut down the compressor should an alarm to be triggered.
Employers have a duty of care to their employees to ensure the air they breathe is of the best quality as possible and regulations such as EN12021 require contaminants such as CO and VOCs are maintained at very low levels as they can cause serious health effects.
The ACG+ uses state-of-the-art, highly-accurate sensor technology, providing the alternative to the established spot testing with colorimetric tube test kits. Using this method of interval testing opens itself up to a high risk contaminant issues, not knowing at the critical moment if the breathing air is suitable to be used can be life threatening. Minimising down time is crucial as “time is money” everyone has their own key objectives while working to ensure the ultimate aim is achieved.
The ACG+ can be used with any breathing air compressor and simply needs to be connected after the compressor and before the end user (or cylinder) to ensure that contaminants can be detected before they reach the intended destination.
There are multiple uses for breathing air apparatus on the rig: Emergency BA, Diving, Fire fighting, Welding, Paint spraying, and Shot blasting.
The ACG+ can ensure operations remain uninterrupted and users of compressed breathing air remain safe. All Systems Go with the ACG+.
Benefits include: Enhanced safety for employees, Reduced downtime, Records breathing air continually, Easy to use and fully user maintainable, Costs less than £2.30 per day, Accountability with 90 days of datalogging for trend analysis, No more need of colorimetric tube testing or lab sampling, Peace of mind, and Meets EN12021 & DEF STAN 68284.
