Unique GC vial liquid sampler is ideal for petrochemical and lubricant markets

Good quality and representative samples are vital for any analysis and getting an “unchanged” sample from the process stream to the laboratory is paramount.

Within the petroleum related markets samples are typically extracted from process streams in volumes of 50 ml to a litre which is in many cases acceptable when, for example, crude oil and fuel samples are needed.

However, in petrochemical and lubricant process streams extracting this volume of sample at multiple stages of the manufacturing process can be extremely wasteful, unnecessary and therefore expensive, with a high cost product every drop counts!

The GC vial liquid sampler from Mechatest uses extraction needles of 0.6 or 1.2mm diameter and enables direct sampling of volumes of either 2, 10 or 20 ml.  These are the smallest vial sizes typically found in GC autosamplers and is therefore arguably the best solution for taking samples, specifically for laboratory and chromatography analysis, from a petrochemical or lubricant process stream.

Andre van Roon, CEO at Mechatest Sampling Solutions, says “Often taking regular representative liquid samples is critical to best practice process optimisation.  This unique sampler has a reputation for reliable service and provides accurate and representative samples, typical applications include chemical samples, solvent mixtures (especially aqueous mixtures) but also jet fuel and gasoline.”

Loss prevention is desired throughout the industry, the GC vial liquid sampler can be installed within safe, closed loop design sampling systems which means no waste, no emissions and no pollution, the sampling system is easy to install and use.
