A warm welcome home to Nuremberg for SENSOR + TEST

Feb 16 2022

Preparations for SENSOR+TEST from May 10 to 12, 2022 are ongoing as the organisers set the scene for the return of the community to Nuremberg. The most important trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology will once again open its doors after two years of digital events. It is anticipated that more than 300 exhibitors will attend the exhibition.

Holger Bödeker, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH, stated "At last we will be able to welcome our exhibitors and visitors again in the exhibition halls in Nuremberg in May. After a two-year absence, the SENSOR+TEST is finally coming home,". With the lifting of many Covid precautions across the globe, interest from international exhibitors in particular has increased significantly. Space in the Messe’s Hall 1 is fully booked and many other companies are waiting to present their sensor technology in person in Nuremberg. 275 exhibitors had registered at the beginning of February and new organisations are being added to the list every day. The organiser therefore anticipates that there will be over 300 participating companies at this year’s event. These exhibitors have already announced a that they will be displaying many new innovations and products.

There is still some space, but interested parties need to hurry with their registration. "For small and medium-sized German innovative companies, participation is very attractive, because they can apply for very special subsidies for stand construction and stand rental through the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy," explains Holger Bödeker.

In Nuremberg Messe’s Hall 2, the ettc2022: European Test and Telemetry Conference, provides the most significant international platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing. This event will be held in conjunction with SENSOR+TEST for the fourth time. Visitors to ettc2022 will learn about the crucial role telemetry technologies play in current industrial applications.

The exhibitors’ committee, which anticipates eagerly the success of SENSOR+TEST’s live event in May 2022, subject to the requisite compliance with hygiene measures, is looking forward to experiencing the world of sensor and measurement technology back in Nuremberg. Due to the cancellation of numerous technology trade fairs or their postponement to dates in the summer, SENSOR+TEST 2022 will be the first electronics trade fair to return to its traditional format after the COVID-19 pandemic caused so many events to be cancelled or rely on a digital platform.

The SENSOR+TEST already been presented digitally for the last few years.  In 2022’s event, exhibitors and visitors can therefore not attend the live trade fair for an intensive exchange with experts, but also they can take advantage of the digital channels throughout the year.
