Flow Meters Receive ISO Certification
May 03 2013
McCrometer’s (USA) advanced FPI Mag (Full Profile Insertion) Electromagnetic Flow Meter, Ultra Mag Flow Meter and MX Ultra Mag Flow Meter after TUV review have obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification from the International Standards Organisation (ISO).
ISO Certification means that the FPI Mag Flow Meter, the Ultra Mag Flow Meter and MX Ultra Mag Flow Meter are manufactured consistently based on predetermined requirements compliant with international standards. Benefits to ISO compliance include enhanced customer satisfaction through improved quality processes, reliability that the approved processes are regularly audited, environmental friendliness in the way the McCrometer flow meters are manufactured and recognised acceptance for service in countries around the world.
In achieving ISO Certification, McCrometer’s customers can be assured that McCrometer is focusing on continuous improvement and undergoing internal and external audits designed to ensure that manufacturing objectives are met. Customers can be confident that the FPI Mag, Ultra Mag and MX Ultra Mag Flow Meters are produced utilising an operating management system that is compliant with regulations designed by industry expert consensus to improve the customer experience.
FPI Mag Flow Meter: The FPI Mag Flow Meter is the industry’s only hot tap full profile insertion flow meter available on the market. The FPI Mag installs without service interruption making it ideal for retrofits, upgrades and maintenance projects and sites never metered before. The hot tap installation significantly reduces installation time by eliminating the need to de-water lines or cut pipe, saving customers up to 45 percent.
McCrometer’s high-performance FPI (Full Profile Insertion) Mag Flow Meter now features the new M-Series Converter, providing excellent accuracy to ±0.5% of reading. The M-Series Converter, now standard with all McCrometer mag meters, offers many other new features, including: built-in dual 4-20 mA outputs for communication flexibility, additional programmable outputs to support SCADA systems and a simplified menu structure for ease of use.
The FPI Mag is available for forward-flow only or bi-directional measurement in line sizes from 4 to 138 inches. The flow sensor comes pre-calibrated from McCrometer’s NIST traceable Calibration Lab and requires no recalibration in the field.
Ultra Mag & MX Ultra Mag Flow Meters: The advanced Ultra Mag Flow Meters are non-invasive, with a no-moving parts electromagnetic sensing instrument designed for inline installation. The Ultra Mag delivers exceptional flow measurement accuracy of ±0.5 percent with repeatability of 0.05 percent of actual flow for highly reliable operation.
Designed for 2 to 48 inch lines, the Ultra Mag measures flow from 0.2 to 32 fps at pressures of up to 300 psi. Pressure ratings are determined by the selected pipe size and model. Manufactured with 316 Stainless Steel, the rugged Ultra Mag's electrodes are self-cleaning for long service and virtually no maintenance. These flow meters feature McCrometer’s exclusive fusion bonded UltraLiner, which does not delaminate, separate or collapse.
The Ultra Mag operates in high temperatures up to 170°F, is available with optional end connections such as ANSI,DIN, JIS, smooth and grooved end flanges and can be ordered with custom lay lengths reducing installation costs. Each flow meter is individually calibrated in our world-class NIST traceable calibration facilities.
