Controller & Ticketing Service Formally Launched
Apr 17 2015
The Coastal Flow (USA) Measurement family of companies has formally launched LACT-Pro, its highly innovative LACT unit and custody transfer controller. When combined with the company’s advanced information collection, processing, and web-based delivery systems, the BirdDog LACT-Pro Controller & Ticketing Service provides comprehensive operational controls and instantaneous electronic ticketing.
The BirdDog LACT-Pro controller has been designed for securely automating and regulating the custody transfer of crude oil, condensate, and other hydrocarbon liquids, with configuration settings to manage LACT, ACT and tank-based transfer operations.
LACT-Pro’s rugged construction, low power requirements, and microprocessor-based operation make it ideally suited to a broad range of installations, from remote production areas to gathering and pipeline injection points. With its unique, highly flexible hardware architecture, the controller can accommodate a wide variety of communications and data exchange functionality. LACT-Pro generates native Flow-Cal TFX files for direct import into the FLOWCAL Enterprise Liquids module, and the BirdDog IS Mobile iOS app provides convenient anytime-anywhere LACT-Pro data access.
LACT-Pro units feature a touch-screen interface (HMI), simple setup and operation, as well as unparalleled I/O options. Through active bidirectional communications, another LACT-Pro feature, systems may be instantaneously alerted whenever a custody transfer has been completed, triggering full data collection as well as electronic ticket creation and distribution…a much more reliable and energy-efficient process than constant polling.
