VISCOpro2000 and VISCOpro1600 are currently in service in asphalt and lube oil lines at refineries around the world. Now, in conjunction with VISCOpro 3000, Cambridge Viscosity’s lab viscometer, productivity is improved to achieve exceptionally consistent and reliable results.

Cambridge Viscosity’s oscillating piston technology complies with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D 7483-08 specifications for its Standard Test Method for Determination of Dynamic and Kinematic Viscosity of Liquids. This test method directly correlates with ASTM D445 and covers viscosity of liquids particularly suitable for petroleum products and lubricants.

Oscillating piston viscometers allow for continuous viscosity measurement. There is no need for complex tubing or capillaries that require frequent maintenance and shutdown. Measurement is fully automatic and only requires less than 5ml of fluid for accurate viscosity measurement and control.

Most important, is correlation to the lab with the same technology. No need for large samples using other, older technologies. No need for interpretation … all correlation is direct, thereby saving time and money.
