Safe, efficient and advanced oxidation stability testing
Sep 04 2019
Scavini’s oxidation stability tester (in accordance to ASTM D525, ASTM D5304, ASTM D873, BS 2000-138 & IP 138, BS EN ISO 7536 & BS 2000-40 & ISO 7536, IP 40) is one of the most compact and advanced instruments of its kind available on the market. It combines some unique features such as a dry bath that replaces the old-fashioned, dangerous boiling water baths, high-precision pressure transducers mounted on top of the vessels and an integrated panel PC with touch-screen interface (no need of external PC). User-friendly software enables the operator to monitor pressure and temperature throughout the test: it detects breaking point and saves and records test data such as pressure and temperature in graphical format. The Ethernet port allows the user to connect the instrument to the laboratory network while the USB facilitates connection to a printer to obtain printed reports containing pressure and temperature graphs. Two, four and six-position units are available.
Scavini also manufacture oxidation stability baths for diesel (acc. to ASTM D2274, IP 388, ISO EN 12205), biodiesel (acc. to ASTM D7462) lubricants/mineral oils (acc. to ASTM D943/IP 157, ASTM D4310, D2440/IEC 61125 etc.) and grease (acc. to ASTM D942).
All these instruments are equipped with dry bath to improve safety in use and mass flow controllers for more precise flow regulation: all of them except the unit acc. to ASTM D942 where is standard, can be optionally equipped with a panel PC with touch-screen interface to save test data and supply printed reports showing temperature and flow values during the test for quality control purposes.
