Compact oxidation stability tester reaches new levels in accuracy and ease of use
Oct 24 2019
Scavini’s oxidation stability tester for diesel fuels, (in accordance to ASTM D2274, IP 388, ISO 4263, 12205 etc.) and lubricants (acc.to ASTM D943 IP 157 - ISO 4263, 12205 etc.) is one of the most compact and advanced instrument of its kind available on the market. The old oil baths that required the use under a fume hood have been replaced by solid aluminum blocks virtually odour and maintenance-free while, in lieu of the variable area flowmeters, more modern mass flow controllers equip the instrument: a knob and an LCD display allow the user to set the desired flow rate and the electronics provides to maintain it precisely throughout the duration of the test.
On the back of the instrument a water dispenser and a sink line permit to distribute water to each mushroom condenser. All the instruments are equipped with digital thermos-regulators with PID action and digital display for both temperature and set point: an independent safety switch cuts the power supply off in case of overheating. An additional safety switch protects the flow controllers by turning them off in case air pressure goes down.
Versions with 8.4” inch panel PC capable to record flow and temperature throughout the test are also available: a user friendly software allows the user to store, recall and generate printed reports containing temperature and flow data related to each test for quality assurance purposes.
