New Software for the Calibration of Pressure Sensors and Indicators
Jul 31 2009
The new proprietary software from Huber Instrumente (Germany) with intuitive user interface can be integrated into networks of any operation system. It is pre-installed in an industry PC/104 with a GPIB interface, with itself embedded in the associated pressure controller. The software has direct access to the history of test objects, which can be displayed and printed locally. The data can be exported by USB or LAN.
The ADK 4000 automatic pressure calibrator has a group of three ranges each for relative (gauge) and/or absolute pressure. The lowest group of measuring ranges are 100/50/20 kPa and the highest 70/35/15 MPa, with a maximum error of 0.05 % of the active range. Its pneumatic controller works with stepper motor operated needle valves. This procedure grants a precise pressure control without overshoot. The new software can use the pressure controller equally for the generation of the pressure set points of only indicating test objects (gauges etc.).
An operational system can be purchased for a surprisingly low cost. If the automatic pressure calibrator is available already (the types APC4000 from CONDEC/EATON are fully compatible and can be retrofitted by an external industry PC), the investment is even limited to less than a third of the price! Therefore, the field of secure automatic calibrations becomes economic for less frequent users.
It is both important and unique for the user that one single supplier supports the responsibility for the complete system. Expansions of the measuring ranges of the system are as easy as the
reduction of the error limits.
