Custom Configured GC Systems for Petrochemical Applications
Jan 14 2008
The VPH system measures aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons in environmental samples. The BTEX system can be customized to analyze aromatic compounds, volatile gasoline range organics (GRO) and volatile diesel range organics (DRO). These systems employ OI Analyticalâs patented PID/FID tandem detector to generate simultaneous chromatograms of aliphatic and aromatic compounds in a single analysis. Use of the PID/FID tandem detector is required in many regulatory methods including USEPA 8015, Massachusetts VPH and many GRO methods.
The S-Pro 3200 system utilizes an OI Analytical Pulsed Flame Photometric
Detector (PFPD) to measure sulfur compounds in petrochemical process and
liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) streams, such as propylene and ethylene. The S-Pro 3200 measures and reports individual sulfur contaminants present from ppm to low ppb concentrations, and total sulfur as the sum of individual peaks. MINICAMS® Continuous Air Monitoring Systems are field-portable GC-based analyzers for near-real-time monitoring of toxic chemicals. MINICAMS® systems provide early warning of chemical incidents, accurate tracking of chemical levels, and post incident all clear indication. Systems can be deployed in the field or at fixed site installations for Clean Air Act compliance monitoring, air hazard and emissions monitoring, and chemical process plant monitoring. A range of air sampling options and detectors (FID, PID, FPD, XSD, PFPD and tandem configurations) provide the capability to address diverse air monitoring applications and usage conditions. Multiple systems can also be networked to provide facility-wide air monitoring.
