Personal Gas Monitor
Smallest, Lightest, Most Sensitive Personal PID Monitor for the Detection of Benzene
Jun 13 2014
CubTAC, from Ion Science (UK), is the world’s smallest, lightest, most sensitive personal PID monitor for fast, accurate detection of Total Aromatic Compounds (TACs), including benzene. With market leading parts-per-billion (ppb) sensitivity CubTAC gives an early warning of over exposure, keeping workers safe within their environment.
Setting the standard in personal gas monitoring, the CubTAC photoionisation detection (PID) monitor has a dynamic range of 1 ppb to 5000 ppm, the widest on the market.
When worker exposure to benzene exceeds pre-set limits the instrument’s audible, vibrating and flashing LED alarms alert you to the hazards present. Readings are displayed in ppb and mg/m3 on its bright, back-lit LCD display.
Small, compact and lightweight CubTAC is robust yet comfortable and unobtrusive to wear.
The CubDoc docking station is available for USB communication, charging and calibrating the instrument.
CubTAC is also available as a variant with 10.6 eV lamp for accurately detecting a wide range of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs.) Upgradeable features can also be purchased quickly and easily via the Ion Science website.
The instrument’s PID sensor technology has been independently verified as best performing for speed, accuracy and humidity resistant operation. Its patented Fence Electrode Technology and Anti-contamination design mean CubTAC is unaffected by humid and challenging environments providing accurate, reliable results and extended run time in the field.
CubTAC has been developed as part of a family of PID detectors and compliments the Tiger Select handheld screening device for use in petrochemical environments.
