Measurement and Testing
Still sure you are measuring the TRUE TOC? When the sample is not true then neither are the results!

With the analysis of water not only is an analyser's measurement system of importance in attaining accurate results but the method in which samples are taken is of extreme significance. When a part of a sample is removed before a sample is fed into the analysis system, for example when particles are filtered out, then inevitably the sample is no longer representative of the water to be tested. Hence, the end results are inaccurate.
With the LAR AG patented maintenance free FlowSampler® this is not the case. It is a sampling device that does not require any maintenance intensive filtration. Samples are siphoned-off from the sample stream against the main flow of the stream. Due to the strong current of the sample stream all relevant organic particles, as well as heavier particles such as sand, are captured and drawn-off so that the sample enters the system unaltered. Even difficult challenges like sampling at the inlet of a sewage treatment plant before the course screening do not present a problem for the FlowSampler® and it can be used to reproducibly take samples of waste waters with high particle content.
Additionally, LAR analysers use the ULTRA high temperature combustion method of 1200°C guaranteeing the complete oxidation of all carbons including the particles within a sample. Not only is the total organic carbon detected by the analysis method of the QuickTOCultra but due to the sampling technique no carbon is lost beforehand, hence the results do really show the TRUE TOC.
