Don't pour money down the drain! Analyse your condensate's purity fast and reliably.

Crude oil refinement is an energy intensive process. Producing steam and hot water is vital for many types of installations for generating power, driving turbines, utility pumps and process heating. Energy is transferred via steam to process fluids e.g. crude, mineral oils and other products through heat exchangers. Although the steam cools and becomes condensate, it is still hot, contains energy, remains valuable and can be reused. However, its purity is of extreme importance. Impurities in the water used can harm the boiler installation through corrosion to the pipe system or boiler itself and if a heat exchanger corrodes, then oils can leak, contaminating the return condensate.
The fast, effective and reliable analysis of the return condensate's purity is crucial and the LAR QuickTOC purity analysers deliver just that, allowing time for contaminated condensate to be drained off and leaks to be located and repaired. Its patented thermal oxidation technique guarantees that all oily organic impurities are completely oxidised without exception and offers the added saving of negating the need of expensive catalysts, as with other high temperature methods. The totally sealed analytical system, maintained at an overpressure of 0.4 bar, means that the sample is measured without any environmental interferences influencing measurements. Furthermore, the well designed multi-loop injection system which is small, compact, has reduced internal dimensions and wetted surfaces, as well as no dead volumes, means that memory effects, from previous measurements are avoided. The quick and easy gas or liquid calibration and validation of the LAR analysers, alongside the advantage of the batch injection system which features an auto zero function, offers operators the assurance that their results are accurate and they are not pouring expensive condensate down the drain.
