New On-line Dewpoint Hygrometer Offers Greater Flexibility
Oct 18 2013
The Model 6020 dewpoint hygrometer has been developed by Alpha Moisture Systems (UK) as the next level in moisture analysis in process gases and compressed air.
Displayed units can be °C dewpoint, °F dewpoint, ppm(v), ppm(w), g/m³ or lb./MMSCF, selectable at the touch of a button using one of the three “hot keys”. Molecular masses for calculation of ppm(w) are stored for common gases, or can be entered via the front panel for other gases.
The on-board calculator converts between atmospheric and system pressure dewpoints using pressure units in barg, psig or Pascal x 10³.
The proven robust ultra-high capacitance sensor is available for a number of ranges optimised for different applications covering an overall range from -110°C to +20°C dewpoint (-166°F to +68°F). Pre-configured tables for all ranges simplify entering calibration data supplied with any sensor, accurate to better than ±2°C dewpoint and the AutoCal feature offers a user friendly on site function check. Calibrations are traceable to international humidity standards. The sensor is Ex certified for use in Hazardous Areas when connected via a suitable Zener barrier.
Other standard features include linear current output, twin alarm relays and RS485 output, for which optional pc interface and logging software is available.
