Gas detector
Versatile gas detection system of car parks
Sep 09 2019
Sensitron’s SPS gas detection system for car parks consists of MULTISCAN++Park gas control panels and SMART-P detectors designed to meet the prescriptions of the European Standard EN50545-1. The MULTISCAN++Park gas control panels enable the management of up to 256 detectors simultaneously. They are available in five versions to meet a variety of criteria.
The detectors can be connected both via RS485 (Modbus) and via 4-20 mA analogue transmission. Three alarm thresholds can be set for each gas detector being connected and the panels enable the activation of the alarms . The system architecture also includes 8 preset relays onboard the units and it allows having outputs extended up to 256 detectors via remote STG/OUT16-S modules and 8-relay boards. The panels are available in an IP65 rated plastic box or in 19” 3U rack (HE) (24Vdc power supply required). The SMART-P gas detectors are available in a variety of versions, according to the gas to be detected: • CO, range 0-300 ppm, NO2, range 0-30 ppm, NO , range 0-300 ppm , all with industrial cell, as well as petrol vapours, range 0-100% LEL, industrial pellistor in Exd certified head.
Detectors with a double sensor are also available to optimise installation costs. They combine the CO and NO2 sensors in one housing. The first sensor detecting the gas sends the signal corresponding to the value detected to the gas control panel. This is possible for versions combining CO and petrol vapour sensors too. The SMART-P gas detectors use high performance sensor cells and check all functions, including a reliability self-test for the CO cell.
