Product Knowledge Workshop Offers Free Training On Next-Gen Air/Gas Flow Meter
Aug 29 2013
Fluid Components International (USA) is offering customers an excellent opportunity for free training and a chance to learn more about the next generation ST100 Flow Meter Series. Fluid Components International's (FCI) Product Knowledge Workshop, offered free to customers, takes place in San Marcos California from October 16-17, 2013.
The ST100 Series Air/Gas Flow Meter sets a new industry benchmark in process and plant air/gas flow measurement, offering the most feature-rich and function-rich electronics available. The ST100’s performance delivers unsurpassed adaptability and value to meet plant gas flow measurement applications for today and tomorrow.
FCI’s ST100 Series Flow Meter is the first triple variable instrument that measures mass flow, temperature and pressure. An on-board data logger stores 21 million readings on a removable card. Extensive outputs and digital bus flexibility provided for DCS, PLC, SCADA and more. The device includes a graphical LCD with four-button, through-the-glass touch activation for showing measurements and alarm status.
To register for FCI’s Product Knowledge Workshop, call FCI's Training Department at 1-800-863-8703, 760-736-6117 or email training_tm@fluidcomponents.com. The classes cover the thermal dispersion principle of operation, a review of flow instrument applications, flow element installation, wiring and troubleshooting. FCI provides local hotel accommodations, refreshments and lunch at no charge. Attendees provide their own transportation to FCI’s training facility in San Marcos, California.
FCI’s products are requested by name in many of the world’s most demanding environments for flow instrumentation. They are recognised for their precision measurement accuracy and repeatability in harsh conditions, where their high performance ensures both end-product quality and operational safety. The company offers a broad range of application solutions from off-the-shelf devices to custom-engineered systems.
FCI’s flow meters are designed with advanced thermal dispersion mass flow sensors. They combine precision flow measurement accuracy with a rugged design that is compatible with caustic, corrosive, humid and high temperature environments. They are highly reliable, easy to install, require virtually no maintenance and are designed for long-life.
FCI flow switches feature an advanced no-moving parts thermal dispersion flow sensor that makes them ideal for a wide range of point-level process applications. Their versatile design also allows them to measure flow or level or temperature. The company’s NuTec flow switch is designed with a unique non-contacting flow element that completely separates the sensor from the process media, which makes it ideal in sanitary flow processes common to the food/beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Flow conditioners developed by FCI’s Vortab Company provide a low-pressure loss solution to correcting flow profile irregularities that affect the accuracy of flow instrumentation. In today’s crowded plants, elbows, valves, blowers and other devices in the pipeline can disrupt flowing media, which reduces measurement accuracy. Vortab flow conditioners eliminate these flow disturbances to ensure accurate data.
All FCI products are tested and calibrated to rigorous standards at FCI’s world-class, fully NIST traceable flow calibration laboratories to ensure instrument accuracy with the customers’ actual fluid and process conditions. FCI’s calibration laboratories are ISO9001:2008 certified and AS9100 compliant. They also meet MIL-STD-45662A and ANSI/NCSL-Z-540 requirements. The company’s advanced technologies also include mechanical design, advanced materials, metallurgy, electronics, communications and more.
