Accurate and Reliable Viscosity Results While Meeting ASTM D445
Apr 17 2013
Viscosity is an essential property used to characterize petroleum fuels and lubricants performance. For a long time “green fuels”, such as biodiesel, were reserved to niche producers. Now, they are blended with traditional fossil diesel fuels to meet worldwide environmental regulations, which impact the finished product’s viscosity properties. As a direct consequence, the ASTM D6751 and EN 14214 specifications are requesting biofuels & biofuels blends meet ASTM D445.
The PAC Herzog HVM 472 is the state-of-art lab solution for kinematic viscosity determination of fuels and lubricants, in full compliance with the ASTM D445 standard. The HVM 472 has several unique benefits including:
- Precise and Easy to operate – full automation to run complete analysis in only 3 simple steps
- Designed for productivity & flexibility - two integrated automatic sample changers
- Enhanced safety features – connects to ventilation system to reduce VOC emissions
