XPERT-TOC/TNb: Total Organic Carbon and Total bound Nitrogen in (waste) water samples
Jun 20 2018
Industrial plants monitor the amount of organic substances in wastewater to ensure it has been treated adequately before discharge. Environmental protection agencies created stringent regulations to which the discharged wastewater must comply. Substances of organic matter which may be present in these effluents are potentially harmful. To protect the environment, sum parameters of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Total bound Nitrogen (TNb) are analysed in (waste)water samples. These analysis are also used in monitoring waste water in treatment processes. TE Instruments’ XPERT TOC/TNb analyser is the perfect solution to cover these applications, fully compliant with international test methods like the EN 1484 or ISO 8245.
Decades of experience have been deployed to create this new analyser which represents the ultimate combination of robustness, accurate sample analysis and user convenience. The XPERT enables its users to analyse Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Total bound Nitrogen (TNb) simultaneously, within a few minutes from a single injection. TE Instruments designed the XPERT in a unique way, integrating the liquids auto sampler and TN detector into the footprint of the analyser. The liquids auto sampler is by default included in this versatile, fully-equipped analyser. Particle-containing (waste)water samples (<0.8 mm) are analysed directly without any modification, no additional options or accessories required.
Key features include:
- Most compact all-in-one footprint: by default integrated liquids auto sampler
- Unique valve-less sample introduction design using Funnel-Tec™: Eliminates carry-over and memory effect
- ProCAT™ combustion tube ensures complete sample oxidation of every sample type
- Smart operation functions: execute your TOC application with ease
