70 Litre Viscosity Bath Ideal for Low Temperatures

Sep 04 2008

Tamson Instruments (The Netherlands) has launched a new kinematic viscosity bath to its range. The bath cover has 7 holes with a diameter of 51mm to accommodate glass capillaries in their supports.
The Tamson baths are specially designed for tests that require ultra precise temperature control, or processes that need to be followed visually. Examples are viscosity, thermometer calibration, crystal growing, density and reaction rate measurement.
The TV7000LT is a unique visibility bath with wide dimensions. The working temperature ranges from minus 40°C up to plus 100°C.
An integrated cooling system lowers the 70 litres bath content down to minus 40°C within approximately 4 hours. The cooling power is controlled over 4 stages so that the heat removal capacity is trimmed to the desired set point temperature, saving up to 50% of energy.
Due to its wide temperature range the bath can be used for multiple purposes varying from low temperature viscosity measurement to calibration of sensors or thermometers. The large windows show the bath contents clearly. The windows are heated to guarentee a clear sight.
The bath can be emptied via a drain valve. If the bath fluid expands at higher set point temperatures, overflow of the bath is protected via a drain. A LED fluid level indicator alarms when fluid level is too low.
The fully ASTM D445 bath offers unique figures for temperature stability and overall dimensions. The bath temperature can be set from -40°C to a maximum of +100°C in steps of 0.01°C. The maximum temperature lies around 100°C. Overall accuracy is better than +/- 0.02°C over the whole temperature range. Ambient temperature drift The bath is also available for 40 litres, the TV4000LT.
