Accurate Viscosity Data with PAC’s Next Generation Process Viscometer
Feb 18 2015
PAC is excited to announce the release of its next generation process viscometer, the ViscoPro 2100. The ViscoPro 2100 enhances and improves the oscillating piston technology utilised in previous generations of ViscoPro products through improved performance, as well as ease of use and installation.
Viscosity is one of the most critical measurements of product quality for virtually every refinery product. With real-time viscosity measurements, refineries are able to realise significant improvements in production quality, cost, and output. With the ViscoPro 2100, refinery and petrochemical plants are able to optimize their operations by providing:
- Accurate real-time data that enables process control.
- Results that correlate to lab measurements to ensure specification.
- A low maintenance transmitter that is low cost to operate.
Due to the ViscoPro 2100’s modular configuration, it is able to produce highly reliable viscosity results for numerous applications in the refinery and petrochemical industries. This includes analysing vacuum resid, asphalt, and heavy fuel oils, as well as monitoring compressor lubrication oil.
Additionally, the ViscoPro 2100 has numerous hazardous area certifications, including FM, IECEX, and ATEX, and multiple communication protocols for measurements and diagnostics. Find the ViscoPro 2100 configuration that fits your needs by using this guide.
The ViscoPro 2100 includes several other enhancements, such as:
- Improved Repeatability – With its new electronics design, the repeatability of its measurements are improved by a factor of 2.
- Simple Installation – With multiple process connections, the ViscoPro 2100 is easy to install.
- Ease of Use – Now includes an optional user-friendly, password-protected tool for troubleshooting via a wired/wireless webserver.
