AC Analytical Controls (AC) Introduces the New AC All in One Biodiesel Analyser to Determine the Quality of Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) Blending Stock for Diesel Fuel
Jan 11 2008
New AC Biodiesel Analyser
Globally, public authorities promote the use of blends of biofuel and
conventional fuel through directives and by setting ambitious goals.
Standardisation bodies, such as ASTM and CEN, have already published
methods that outline specifications for biodiesel as blending component
and test methods are available to determine the quality of the biodiesel.
All-In-One-Solution
AC Analytical Controls developed an all in one chromatographic solution
that complies with all ASTM & EN test methods listed in the biodiesel
specifications EN 14214 & ASTM D 6751.
System Description
The AC Biodiesel System uses the new Agilent Technologies 7890A gas
chromatograph equipped with two capillary columns, Electronic
Pneumatics Control (EPC) for setting flow and pressure parameters, one
split/splitless inlet, one on-column inlet, an additional column oven module and two Flame Ionisation Detectors (FID). Optional are the Automatic Liquid Sampler and the Headspace Sampler.
Features & Benefits
The All In One application combines all current chromatographic ASTM &
EN methods in one GC: EN 14103, EN 14105, EN 14106, EN 14110 & ASTM
D 6584 and complies with EN 14214 and ASTM D6751 biodiesel specifications. The software is compatible with various chromatographic
data systems such as Atlas, ChemStation and EZchrom. The application is
completely tested and calibrated according to specified methods and
includes multiple sets of calibration components, internal standards and
reagents.
A qualified support engineer installs system on-site and familiarises users with operation. A one year warranty covers hardware and application. The analysers include free helpdesk assistance for any hardware or software related questions and an optional on-line remote support by LAN connection is available.
