New NIR Process Analysers
Dec 06 2013
Metrohm Applikon (Netherlands) NIRSystems Process Analytics Analysers are used throughout the petrochemical process stream to ensure optimum performance for widely varying samples. The analysers allow for cost-effective analysis of sample types ranging from clear liquids to suspensions and solids. Configure the analyser with a reflectance probe, an immersion probe, a transmission probe pair or a transmission flow cell for an optimised interface to your particular sample type. NIR has been used successfully to monitor the input and output streams of Crude Oil Distillation units, Naphtha Crackers, Reformers, and other downstream processes such as para-xylene. The NIR analysers have also been used to measure low levels of conjugated diolefins (measured as Maleic Anhydride Value, or MAV) in Hydrotreated Fluid Catalytic Cracking Gasoline’s.
The main features of the Metrohm Applikon NIRSystems are: Real-time analysis and data availability in seconds; MicroBundle fibre optic interface optimised for process streams with suspensions and solids; Single fibre optic interface optimised for clear liquids; One sample channel or multiplexing of up to either four or nine channels; NEMA 4X/IP65 rated; Optional upgrade to hazardous area classification (ATEX; Class 1, Division 1; Class 1, Division 2; etc.); Optional feedback communication like 4-20mA, MODBUS, PROFIBUS or OPC.
