Expanded Partnership for XRF Specialists
Jul 21 2010
Based on the successful relationship that began with the MESA 6000 EDXRF Analyser, Innov-X Systems, Inc. and Horiba Instruments (both USA) are pleased to announce their expandedmarketing partnership. Horiba will now market the Innov-X X-50 and X-5000 fluid analysers for applications analyzing elemental content in petrochemical and hydrocarbon fluids. The X-50/5000, manufactured by Innov- X, combines the analytical power and
safety of a closed-beam benchtop XRF system with battery operation portability. The result is a unique XRF system that utilises either a silicon PiN diode (X- 50) or silicon drift detector (X-5000) and a high powered 50 kV, 10 Watt x-ray tube. The X-5000 measures elements from Mg to U in a variety of hydrocarbon samples and petro - chemical fluids, whereas the X-50 measures from S to U. Both models feature a specially designed sample
holder to consistently locate either bottles or XRF sample cups for fluid sample analysis.
“We are very pleased to extend this partnership” said Innov-X Business Development Manager Suzanne Moller. “Innov-X has been very successful with the X-50/5000 product family in their traditional portable XRF markets such as environmental, mining and mineralexploration. Extending our marketing partnership with Horiba allows us to reach the petrochemical and hydrocarbon analysis markets for this product.” The X-50 and X-5000 will be sold through the existing Horiba sales channels for the petrochemical and hydrocarbon fluids applications.
Rudy Haas, Horiba’s Oil Products Business Manager stated, “Horiba is proud to partner with this group of talented and innovated engineers and excited to bring these compact analyzers to the marketplace.”
