Hazloc Equipment Search Site Launches

On the 1^st of January a new website Ex-PERT was launched, allowing End-Users to more quickly and easily find Hazardous Area Equipment that meets their specific needs. Ex-PERT enables users of the site to filter products based on the Certification, Hazardous Atmosphere, and the Zone, right down to the Temperatures that the equipment must be suitable for.

Kerry Norcross, MD, explains the concept: "Having worked for a Notified Body for a number of years I have been asked regularly where can I find this product or that product which has suitable certification, and as part of Accreditation I have never been able to advise. I realised that there was nowhere in the market that people could go to and quickly and easily find products based upon their suitability and certification requirements. That’s where Ex-PERT comes in. Ex-PERT is designed to capture a wide range of products on the market and allows site users to easily filter them based upon their specific demands. We work with the supplier’s to produce quality listings that are informative, accurate and unbiased. The site gathers together key technical information and presents it in a uniform, easy to understand format."

Ex-PERT is also producing a monthly Newsletter - Ex-PERT Eye - which is aimed at being a really useful and interesting resource. As well as keeping readers informed of the latest standards, exhibitions and news headlines, the Newsletter features a panel of ‘Ex-PERT Experts’ who will be providing topical articles and technical direction. The Ex-PERT website is the focus of the management team’s efforts, with other avenues being explored that will in future bolster the website and the business further. The site has so far focussed predominantly on Lighting, Heating, Enclosures and Technology but aims to span the whole sphere of Hazloc products within the next six months.
