PetroReporter software compatible with the new Agilent OpenLab 2.x CDS platform
Sep 17 2019
Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions released the new version of PetroReporter software- a tool to automate the data processing and reporting for DHA, FAME, SimDist and Gas calculation applications. The new version of PetroReporter is compatible with the latest Agilent OpenLAB 2.x Chromatography Data System (CDS).
The universal setup of PetroReporter allows the analyst to process and report data for the following applications:
- ASTM, DIN, EN, IP, ISO applications for Simulated Distillation (SimDist) as shown in Figure One
- ASTM D5134, D6729, D6730, D6733 & D7900 applications for Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis (DHA)
- ASTM, DIN, EN, GPA and ISO gas calculation modules.
- EN14103-2012 and draft EN14103-2014 methods for verifying ester content in Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME)
Next to the software Da Vinci also offers a complete GC analyzer based on the new Agilent 8890 GC platform for a DHA, SimDist, Gas or FAME test method. The GC analyser is configured with the required hardware components, software and calibration, reference & QC samples. Each analyser is tested according to the in-house testing procedures to check the system performance and to verify the analyser specification by a reference sample test. Factory Acceptance Test will be scheduled upon request.
Multi CDS Compatibility & Client/Server Setup
DVLS PetroReporter is compatible with following chromatographic data systems of major suppliers including:
- Atlas
- Chromeleon
- Clarity
- Compass
- OpenLAB 2.x
- OpenLAB Chemstation
- OpenLAB EZChrom
- Totalchrom
- Other CDS interfaces on request
PetroReporter can be used either stand-alone or in a network configuration. The client/server architecture of the software allows to process the analysis data from any PC workstation.
New Report Features
The PetroReporter software assists the analysts in reporting the petrochemical properties. Extensive report options are available. The new version also features:
- A complete SimDist TBP report for DHA (as displayed in Figure Two)
- An ASTM D86 Jet Fuel and Diesel (ASTM D2887a) customised report for SimDist as shown in Figure Three
- A DHA to D86 report for DHA based on the Fugacity Film Model.
High level of Automation
Predefined settings per sample, databases and formulas optimise the identification of the petroleum samples. User-friendly editors allow to customise the settings on-screen. Just edit the components of the calibration sample by Dragging and Dropping the components onto the chromatogram.
Improved Crude Oil Characterisation
Reporting accurate SimDist data on the light hydrocarbons in crude oil is a challenge due to the quenching effects of the crude oil solvent. The solution is merging the Detailed Hydrocarbon Data (DHA) data with the SimDist results as standardised in the test method ASTM D7900. Using PetroReporter you can set the SimDist-DHA merge point and improve the front-end analysis of a crude oil. Download the application note for more information.
Proven software platform
PetroReporter is successfully used by a global installed base of leading oil refineries for the various applications. Interested in the PetroReporter software? Contact Da Vinci.
