Experience Unlimited Possibilities with New Microviscometer
Aug 04 2014
Lovis 2000 M/ME, from Anton Paar (Austria), the most versatile high-end rolling ball microviscometer on the market, has now been enriched by another feature: Besides the classical capillaries made of high quality borosilicate glass, the product portfolio has now been extended by capillaries made of PCTFE. Although glass offers many advantages for measurements like a smooth material surface, easy cleaning, transparency and more, it is not the perfect solution for all applications. As soon as you are interested in measuring highly aggressive liquids such as concentrated bases or hydrofluoric acid you will face the limits of the material. The glass surface will be attacked and sooner or later your capillary will be destroyed. To bridge this gap, Anton Paar has developed capillaries made of PCTFE. With these brand new break-proof capillaries you can measure almost every liquid, no matter how corrosive, aggressive or hazardous the sample is. Even hydrofluoric acid can be measured with the accuracy and benefits of a state-of-the-art viscometer. Critical samples can be filled in a glove box into the 100% hermetically sealed and break-proof capillaries and handled without any risk to health or environment.
Lovis 2000 M/ME gives you deep insights into the viscosity of even the most critical liquids, providing an accuracy up to 0.5 % and a repeatability up to 0.1 %.
The PCTFE capillaries are now available for manual filling and automation, facilitating viscosity determination starting from sample volumes of 110 µL only.
