De-aerator for Fuel Oil, Biodiesel and Vegetable Oil
Jan 16 2009
The FloCo-TOP-MM automatic fuel oil de-aerator from Afriso-Euro-Index (Germany) is used in single line systems with return pipe and is designed for the continuous de-aeration of light fuel oil EL, diesel, biodiesel or
vegetable/rape oils used in oil-fired heating systems.
The unit features a 3-float safety system with 2 separated float chambers. The first chamber consists of a metal de-aeration cap with an operating float and a vent float. The second chamber is a top-mounted
transparent plastic safety float chamber. The latter prevents any oil foam from escaping through the vent outlet (e.g. during commissioning or filter changing process) and shows at the same time any possible malfunction of the vent valve. The vacuum gauge (-0,7 bar) indicates the level of filter contamination and a possible static prepressure up to max. 0,9 bar. The vacuum gauge also supports the checking of the system’s condition. For the
suction test, only the valve at the filter needs to be closed. The working of the burner pump can also be tested very simply. For the connection there are available at the tank end a G 3/8 i, at the stop valve and burner end
a G 3/8 a with 60°-conical connection for the burner hose (optional G ¼ i).
FloCo-TOP-MM is suitable for nozzle capacities up to max. 100 l/h, a return flow rate up to max. 120 l/h, an operating overpressure up to max. 0,7 bar and ambient or operating temperatures up to max. 60°C.
The instrument conforms to DIN EN 12514-2. FloCo-TOP-MM, when used in conjunction with a connected capillary vent tube, can also be used in flooded areas.
