Next generation TDLAS platform offers fast, reliable, low maintenance H2O and H2S analysis for energy and petrochemical applications
Feb 09 2024
Endress+Hauser's latest TDLAS optical analysis measurement platform, powered by SpectraSensors technology, offers real-time, online measurements of impurities in petrochemical processes. Using field-proven tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology, the company’s analysers offer significant advantages for monitoring H2O, H2S, and other impurities in gas process streams.
Endress+Hauser TDLAS analysers measure changes in analyte concentration faster than other techniques and are highly tolerant of contaminants and stream changes in tough applications. The measurements support continuous, uninterrupted operation, helping petrochemical plant operators improve process control, meet stringent product purity specifications, and mitigate corrosion and catalyst poisoning. They also reduce flaring incidents and process shutdowns, improving plant operating margins.
Unlike other technologies, the TDLAS analysers do not require carrier gases and have virtually no consumable components, resulting in lower OPEX, maintenance costs, and service requirements. Non-contact measurement ensures laser and detector components are isolated from process gas and contaminants, avoiding fouling and corrosion damage for reliable long-term operation.
The platform, built upon the Endress+Hauser Group’s 3rd generation controller and user interface design, supports Heartbeat Technology for auto-stored historical data, spectrum logging, diagnostics, and verification reporting. It also features auto-validation for 24/7 monitoring of analyser health.
Endress+Hauser's innovative TDLAS platform represents a best-in-class solution for H2O, H2S, and other natural gas quality measurements in the energy and petrochemical industries, offering fast, accurate measurements and low cost of ownership.
