Gas detector
A Very Versatile Gas Detector
Feb 15 2010
The Biosystems PHD6 is a cutting edge multi-gas detector by Sperian (France). With its 5 sensor ports, its 6 detection channels and more than 19 sensor options including electrochemical, LIE, PID and infrared sensors, the Biosystems PHD6 is a very versatile gas detector.
The Biosystems PHD6 is a sophisticated, reliable and user-friendly gas detector. Day-to-day detection operations can be launched and kept under control using the mode button. On the display screen, a status bar with easily recognisable icons enables quick access to all data, from time to calibration status. User-friendly, built in menus enable advanced users to configure the detector on site. The PHD6 is constructed of an engineered polycarbonate frame with a rubber overmold, making it tough and easy to handle. Alkaline or rechargeable (Li Ion battery) versions of the detector are also available.
To cut calibration costs and automate the monitoring of results, Sperian also commercialised the Biosystems IQ6 Express control and calibration dock alongside the PHD6. This easy to use and flexible device
ensures a high capacity data processing. The user just has to put the detector on the dock before he starts working and the dock automatically performs common tests in under a minute to verify that the equipment is
working well.
Thanks to its software, the IQ6 dock can also record data from the detector to draw up statistics on possible risks in a given environment. The very innovative functionality helps to reduce labour time and to cut calibration gas costs.
