Analytical Instrumentation and Software Provider Makes Additions to Senior Management Team

Spectro Inc. (USA), a leading developer and manufacturer of analytical tools and software for industrial fluids analysis, has strengthened its senior management team with the addition of Mark Spillane as Vice President of Operations and Bob Wopperer as Vice President of Business Development.

Mr. Spillane most recently served as Director of Manufacturing at Ambient Corporation, where he was responsible for global activities that included materials management, purchasing, supply chain, testing, quality, and NPI program support. Prior to Ambient, he was the Senior

Director of Operations at Ahura Scientific before and after its acquisition by Thermo Fisher Scientific. At Ahura, Mr. Spillane was responsible for all operational activities while managing a team of 90 employees. Mark assumes all purchasing, supply chain management and manufacturing responsibilities for Spectro Inc.

Mr. Wopperer comes to Spectro from Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Portable Analytical Instrument Division, where he was Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development and part of a senior leadership team that grew the business’s revenues greater than 300% over a five-year period. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, he handled a variety of marketing, sales and business development roles with Oxford Instruments. Spectro marketing, product management, and applications functions will report to Wopperer, who will be charged with identifying and executing a wide set of initiatives in current and new vertical market applications.
