Flow meter
Turbine Flowmeter for Low and Medium Viscosity Liquids
May 31 2011
Faure Herman’s (France) HelifluTM TLM turbine meter is designed to measure flows of low to medium viscosity liquids & refined products.
This flowmeter can be used in applications such as airport refueling, wagon and road tankers and loading / off loading.
The HelifluTM TLM meter is fitted with a removable measuring cartridge. Pressure is allowed to act on both sides of the cartridge when it is installed in the meter and therefore eliminates changing pressure effects on the performance of the meter.
The measuring cartridge can be supplied as a spare unit pre- calibrated at the factory and can be installed and used in the meter without recalibration once installed.
The flow capacity for each size varies so meters can be custom sized to fit the conditions of the application.
The HelifluTM TLM includes an integral flow conditioner that allows installation without any upstream and downstream pipe runs. The meter is ideal for trucks and rail car loading and can be installed after bends or strainers without any loss in performance. The unit is also designed for aircraft refuelling in conjunction with an electronic controller where it replaces PD meters without any modification to the installation piping.
The TLM offers an accurate measurement of +/- 0.15% with a viscosity range of 0.1 to 15 cSt and a flowrange of 3 to 300m3/h. The unit is available in sizes from 80 to 100 mm (3 to 4 inches). The accuracy of the flow measurement is certified in accordance with OIML R117.
