Big Name Speakers & Top-Class Exhibitors Already Booked For StocExpo 2014
Sep 13 2013
With top speakers and almost 130 exhibitors already on board, the organisers of StocExpo 2014 (Netherlands) report that the show is set to be bigger than ever before.
StocExpo, which takes place from 18 to 20 March 2014 at Ahoy, Rotterdam is still eight months away, yet the exhibitors signed up include major names from right across the tank storage supply spectrum including: Kanon Loading Equipment, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, J. de Jonge Flowsystems, CTS, Pentair Valves & Control, Fabricom and Honeywell Enraf.
It is easy to see why StocExpo is growing so fast; over 70% of exhibitors at the last show have rebooked for StocExpo 2014. They have been joined by an array of new companies, who are all keen to capitalise on the show's growing reputation as the place where Europe’s terminal operators, oil companies, traders, regulators and equipment suppliers gather and do business.
Didier BIZEC, Export Manager at SATAM, is one of the many returning exhibitors. He believes the scale and scope of the show make it a critical part of the business calendar: “StocExpo allows customers to meet all the suppliers they need, everyone from A to Z, in one place.”
Vera van Dinther, Sales & Marketing Assistant at J. de Jonge Flowsystems adds: “StocExpo is not to be missed. We’re already looking forward to next year.”
It's not just the show floor which has filled up fast. In a major coup, Dr Frits Eulderink, Executive Board Member & Chief Operating Officer of Royal Vopak, has been confirmed as one of the key speakers at the StocExpo paid-for, three day, conference. Having joined Dutch Royal Shell Group in 1990, and held technical and management positions in the Netherlands, North America, Africa and the Middle East, including the field of exploration and production, Frits Eulderink has a tremendous level of technical knowledge to share with conference delegates.
StocExpo will also feature a keynote by Eduard Ruijs, Director of First Reserve. His responsibilities include deal origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy. Eduard Ruijs was previously an investment director and partner at NIBC Infrastructure Partners. With experience spanning conventional and renewable power generation as well as energy distribution and storage infrastructure, he will offer unique commercial and market insights – especially for terminal operators looking for opportunities for finance and growth.
These speakers will be part of a 25-strong programme of experts who over the course of the three days will cover all the latest trends and developments around the terminal market, operational health and safety plus innovative new technologies.
Commenting on the way the show is developing, Matt Benyon, Managing Director of StocExpo says: “We’ve got such tremendous momentum behind the show, everyone wants to be involved. I recently said that in ten years time I see no reason why the conference and the show can’t become two or three times the size that they currently are. To some this may have sounded like a bold prediction, but the level of interest from exhibitors and speakers suggests the market agrees with me.”
