When liquids handling applications require precise and reliable flow control of low flow rates, especially where operating conditions are particularly challenging, Badger Meter control valves are an ideal choice. Available from liquids handling specialists Pump Engineering (UK) this extensive range includes models such as the RC200.
The RC200 in AISI stainless steel with stainless steel actuator is designed for handling liquids and gases under the most arduous conditions and is available as a globe or angle pattern in either ¼” or ½” sizes. Its compact size and 33 different trim sizes, Cv range from 0.0000018 to 2.5 and rangeability from 50:1 to 15:1, make it an ideal choice for precise flow applications. For example; additive injection, sampling in R&D applications along with pressure and pH control.
The valve can operate at pressures up to 5000 psi and temperatures ranging from -80ºC to 500ºC. They can be supplied as standard in 316 stainless steel with stainless steel or Stellite trims. However, alternative materials such as Monel, Hastelloy B & C, titanium and zirconium, can also be specified. Standard packing is PTFE chevron rings, while Grafoil or Kalrez are also offered as options.
The RC200 valve can be supplied with pneumatic actuators or positioners, air-to-open (ATO) or air-to-close (ATC) in die cast aluminium, with 316L stainless steel as an option. Electric actuators and positioners can also be supplied if air is not available.
Typical applications will occur in petroleum refining, chemical processing and manufacture of synthetic fuels and lubricants.
