Fixed Gas Monitor
Never has a Gas Detection Controller Brought so Many Features to so Many End Users!
Nov 15 2010
For more than 100 years, Oldham from Industrial Scientific has specialized in safety and more particularly in gas and fire detection. The company offers a wide range of single gas and multi-gas portable detectors, fixed transmitters and controllers. Our products are always application-driven and solution-oriented.
Oldham from Industrial Scientific’s (France) latest MX43 gas detection controller complements their already wide range and also presages the new generation of gas monitoring systems. Created from technical specifications developed in collaboration with a representative panel of users, the MX43 demonstrates great flexibility and fulfils all applications. Whilst the MX43 is definitely progressive, it is still extremely easy to use as with all of Oldham’s previous and present products.
The main feature of the MX43 is to be a digital and analogue controller which makes it extremely versatile. It allows you to combine conventional analogue 4-20 mA but also Oldham digital transmitters and to remove on a digital line analogue or logic input/ouput modules for optimizing installation expenses.
The MX43 is EC certified. Metrological performances certification according to ATEX regulation and CSA certification are pending.
Never in the history of gas detection have so many features been offered to so many end users by so few! The MX43 includes both digital and analogue controllers, a 4 or 8-line version for monitoring of 16 to 32 detectors, 5 alarm levels by channel, 6 on-board relays by default, up to 24 relays, 32 logic inputs, 32 analogue outputs addressable from the controller, fully programmable relays driven by Boolean functions such as And, Or, Voting, ‘records keeping’: alarms, human interventions, faults, etc. (Up to 3072 events), datalogging of measurements for each channel over the previous 200 minutes, an LCD graphic backlit display allows to display stored curves, up to 16 channels - which can be displayed simultaneously, calibration data records (date, wear rate, gas response curve), soft keys for intuitive navigation through menus and optional built-in flash, siren and backup battery.
