How to simplify and accelerate Total Nitrogen/Total Sulfur analysis
Sep 19 2012
Don’t miss this complimentary webinar on TUESDAY OCT 9, describing new sample introduction technology to revolutionize the simplicity of TN/TS analysis in petrochemical samples. Learn how to achieve shorter analysis times with simplified instrument operation and set up. Register today!
The analysis of total nitrogen and total sulfur in petrochemicals and refinery products is commonplace and is required to demonstrate that products meet the necessary specifications and methods, typically ASTM or IP standards. These stipulate instrumental analysis by combustion followed by detection using UV fluorescence for sulfur and chemiluminescence for nitrogen.
The method of introducing the sample into the instrument often depends on the boiling point of the solvent and the two most common ways of introducing the sample are by a heated liquids module or via boat inlet method. Both of these methods require different hardware and often have long analysis times.
Discover new technology that will eliminate the need to configure your instrument hardware each time you change sample types. This enables shorter analysis times for TN/TS determination and simplified instrument operation and set up.
