PetroilQuant™ Analytical Package for XRF
Feb 26 2010
As quality and environmental demands on the petroleum industry become stricter, key elemental contaminants require ever-lower levels of quantification, for example, tighter regulations on sulfur (S) in light fuels and
reducing FCC catalyst poisons nickel (Ni) and vanadium (V) and catalyst fines aluminum (Al) and silicon (Si) in heavy fuels. The proven ability of Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (WDXRF) analysis techniques
to produce highly reliable and repeatable results is increasingly solicited for such analyses in the petroleum industry.
PetroilQuant™ is a comprehensive analytical package covering the widest range of elements and concentrations in a variety of petro industry products. The 24 most common elements in petroleum products can be pre-calibrated from levels ranging sub-ppm to 5% or more. Analysis times are quick, typically only 8 to 20 seconds per element of interest depending on desired limits of detection. In conjunction with Thermo Scientific ARL OPTIM’X or ARL ADVANT’X Series spectrometers with IntelliPower™, PetroilQuant offers the most cost effective solution for any laboratory dealing with petroleum products.
A complete analytical instrumentation package including PetroilQuant pro vides ready-to-run compliance with the most widely accepted petroleum product analysis methods developed and standardised by ASTM, ISO, IP and others using WDXRF techniques for light and heavy fuels, lubricants and more, inclu-ding ASTM D 2622, ISO 20884, ASTM D 4927, ASTM D 6443, IP 433, and ASTM D 5059.
