Best New Technology Award at GCC for Dutch Masterpiece
Jan 12 2011
During the Gulf Coast Conference 2010 Da Vinci Europe (The Netherlands) laboratory introduced its innovative solution: the Liquefied Gas Injector – a GC solution for determining oily residues in LPG. This DVE innovation was awarded for the Best New Technology at the Product Showcase forum at the GCC.
The Liquefied Gas Injector offers a safe, fast and accurate analysis of oily residues in LPG. The Liquefied Gas Injector developed by Shell Global Solutions in close cooperation with Da Vinci Europe laboratory solutions offers an alternative solution based on gas chromatography. This alternative uses a GC injector to inject under high pressure and at room temperature directly on-column without the use of a vaporizer, transfer line or valve. The injector prevents any discrimination and/or fractionation and is therefore an accurate solution for the quantitative analysis of oily residues in LPG. The GC analysis determines the contamination on ppm level and also indicates the source of the contamination. This is a great step forward compared to the current ASTM "stain" method.
